The word Ikemen became popular since Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ~Ikemen Paradise~ was aired last year in summer.

Though the rating was not ZOMG SO HIGH or ZOMG THEY DEFEAT TAKUKIMU, the dorama was well appreciated and Ikemen booming was happened.
And almost all of the casts (that was called as Ikemen) became popular, especially Ikuta Toma.

TomaPi suddenly became popular though KamePi and Pin still popular as well (see how dangerous girls imaginations are).
A lot of girls who suddenly fell in love with Ikuta Toma claimed to be his #1 fans, though before Hanakimi they didn’t even care enough to lay their eyes to this undebut johnny jr who was claimed as the popular Yamashita-san from NEWS just so he can be popular as well.
Then TomaPi suddenly appeared in magazines together again and by photoshop (and haircut) magics, Toma looked like he need to do some diet though some people thought that he must be anorextic when they watched him in Hanakimi.

Some girls claimed “I am Toma’s REAL fans, you girls only like him since Hanakimi while I’ve been in love with him since ever” though actually they only noticed him since… Hanadan2?
Some girls decided that they already tired with Ikuta Toma fandom since a lot of annoying girls appeared and claimed that Toma is theirs.
Some girls just decided not to care about Ikuta Toma fandom anymore but sometimes they annoyed by ‘Ikuta Toma’s real fans’

Since then, every popular men called as Ikemen, teenage magazines all use Ikemen words for their male models and even obaa-chantachi suddenly interested in Ikemen.
For example, the even called Koyama (who clearly not hot at all) as Ikemen.
